Well, we were camped near the Springs this weekend and we saw flashes which looked to be lightning, then around 11:00pm we hear what sounds like a 22(the echo in the canyon is deceiving). The next day we get to the top of Cadillac and see a bunch of Flowers(little spinning fireworks). We picked them all up but the a$$holes were no-where to be found. This pisses me off more than anything. :mad3:

I saw the same thing weekend before last (8-15 and 8-16). I was camped at Buck Island and the fireworks appeared to be coming from the same area...although I have never been to Cadillac Hill. I was hoping it was just random drunk assholes but I guess not if it occurred two weekends in a row.

The firework were occurring from about 10pm to midnight and some of them were the ones that burst high in the air!

I would have liked to have gotten over there but we had kids with us and were not familiar enough with the trail to head over in the dark. Maybe someone could make it a point to be in the area this weekend if they go tfor three weekends of the shit in a row.

We heard these too at Buck Island and thought it was lightening or blasting. And we DEFINITELY heard gun shots too after dark.

During the August 7th clean-up at Spider, we picked up a number of used bottle rockets on the west side of Spider Lake. The rocket tube was about 6" long and an inch around with the whole thing being about 20" long.
