I found an F350 for sale for only $300 and I think it has d60's front and rear...not sure if the rear would be a 60 or 61, either way would be fine. But the front is definatly a 60. The truck also has an automatic and a 400 motor. Now my question is what possible gear ratio's could this thing have? I figured either 3.73 or 4.10.

Thanks

WHO CARES about gear ratios!!! It is a dana 60 for $300!!! Swap both axles in! The gears more than likely are 4.56-3.73, but who knows. The rear wont be a dana 61, those were 3.25 and lower(numerically) ratios.

85 will only have a Front 60 if it was swapped in... 85 1-tons still had IFS stock, so don't take F-350 to mean D60.

Like fullsize said it will either have a 50 or a swaped in 60. Also the 400 is a swaped in as well. Last year of the 400 was 80-81. The rear will either be a 10.25 or 70 unless it was swaped, but 85 should be 10.25.

Thanks for the info, I don't know much about fords...anyway, the truck is a 79 not an 85 like I originally guessed. So what does that tell you? I think they are d60's and the front is definatly high pinion. So did I steal this thing or what??
$300

If it's really a 79 it'll have D60's front and rear. The front is reverse cut...killer deal if ya only got it for $300
