I posted this in someone elses topic and didn't get no info, So I thought I would post it here: Just asking here? What size sand blaster do you guys use? I need to get one but I don't need one of those gravity feed ones. They are all I have used and t hey just take way to long to get anything clean. Have seen some of the little pressured tanks,Anyone use those if so how do they work?

Get a good compressor, with a good water trap on it to start. I run a TIP pressurized sandblaster, I forget the size but it works great for me. If you really want to clean up stuff fast, run this material called black magic, or black beauty, one of the two. Its dirt cheap, and cuts through anything you want. In one fast pass I cut through 3 layers of military paint on my Mog wheels. It definitely sped up the process versus just using a less agressive blasting material. TIP is well known for their material cleaning systems, I would definitely check them out.

I just replied in that other thread.. didn't notice this one.
I use one of those pressurized tank kinds that hooks to the air compressor. Works great. Its about 10gallon but I've never put more than half a bag of play sand in it at a time. Use a 6HP compressor and it works the whole time. Like he said above, water trap is a must.
