I got the new Firestones for my Explorer today, 36x12.50 TSL Radials. :bounce2: Man they are tall, very skinny though. I mounted them on my stock 7" wheels so I'm not quite sure what they measure out to. I don't know how those guys at 4x4 shops mount 44" tires. I was sweating profusely after the second 36". Didn't help that the tire machine wasn't bolted to the floor.
Sorry for the poor quality picture it was very dark out when I got home.
fire up the sawzall. what do the radials measure on a 7 inch rim?? looks good...

A little trimming should do. My 35's just barely rub on the front of the rear fender wells, but I hacked the back of the front wells pretty good.
NICE.....
Cheers

It's not as tight as it looks in that picture. I might put them on tomorrow but I'm all out of sawzall blades...

They measure a true 36". With the weight of the truck on them they measure 35.25". Here is a picture of the 36's next to a 38.5x12.50x16.5 bias ply Swamper.
