Is there a difference between the YJ and CJ springs on a Heep? I need some springs for my TT kit and was looking on ebay. They seem to group them together. Thanks, Bob

yj springs are longer and wider (the actual spring) IIRC, but where they mount into the hanger and shackle is the same width -- 3"

The YJ's are also softer (have a lower spring rate). They will ride and flex better than the CJ's.

Just watch shipping charges. It's amazing how much something like that can weigh. My shipping on stock YJ springs was over $100.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that the CJ springs are 1 1/2 inches wide and the YJ are 2 inches wide. Therefore, different spring pads are required. Additional consideration is the spring end mounts differ due to the 1/2 inch difference in width.

Softer ride with the YJ's. Some argue that the YJ's are too soft, and prefer the CJ's.

YJ springs are 2.5" wide, CJ springs are 2" wide. the bushing width on both is 3". YJs require new spring perches/pads/saddles whatever you want to call them -- CJs don't.

Thanks for the correction on spring width and clarification of the bushing width .

I believe only the front CJ spring is 2" wide...the rear's fro both CJ, and YJ are 2.5". The early CJ's are 1.75"
