What is the appx weight of a rear d60 and a 14b. With disks? With drums?

Thanx, I cant believe no one else has chimed in yet. I thought a 14b was between 4-5 hundred #'s, I guess I should have just asked how much a d60 weighs.

Changing the 14 bolt to disc's takes off approx 70 lbs.

I read on here that a D60 front weighs in around 525 lbs - complete with steering.

Dunno about a rear D60 - didn't say which 60 you were talking about. :D

Rear d60, and I did say. Thanx for the help anyway. I am guessing around 400#s with disks does that sound about right.

DOH! My bad. Sorry. Guess I'd better take off these glasses and put back in the contacts! :D :D

I believe the rear D60 is somewhat lighter than the 14 bolt, but probably not much.

Rear 60 has to be less than 300 more like 250 I'm guessing. I can lift one in and out of the pickup by myself, and I'm no weightlifter.

I weighed my 14 bolt a month ago. Disk brakes, no wheels, with fluid and cast aluminum diff cover, weighs 372 lbs.

FYI my front Dana 60 weighs 488 complete without wheels.

So with a normal drum 14 bolt and a full front 60, I'm looking at about 900 lbs in axles alone?? WHOA!!

What about tires. 39.5 tsls on steel rims? About 125 lbs a tire and wheel?

If you use aluminum rims you might get away with 125 lbs each... My 35x16 bogs on 16.5x12 rims (for sale BTW) weigh in over 130 lbs each.

My 38" TSL's weigh 98 pounds on an 8" aluminum wheel... So i would guess you are about right.

My Tera60 with 1/4" wall CRMO tubes, caddy discs, and TJ brackets... 375 lbs!
