Just curious if you received the PM that I sent to you this afternoon? If not, then I just need to know shipping before I send out a Paypal payment to you. I can send it anytime before 1:00 PM Colorado time. I will be leaving for Moab this weekend and won't be back until later Monday night. Keep me updated because I am still interested in the 1/2" Dana 60 ring with the holes in it. TIA, Thomas

bah...lol
I've unfortunately been trapped into quite a few "other" projects that have kept me from the garage...my wife's new office computer gets another 4-5 hours of work tonite...
However, I did pull the cover, and get some studs in for test-fitting purposes.
A> the ring fits PERFECTLY
B> the stock studs on a rear diff will be too short....but, 8 of the 10 studs (or it is 10 of 12...eitherway) you use to attach the diff itself for a front or rear axle are the perfect length. I pulled those from a couple spare junk housings, and replaced the too-short stockers. Of the 3 nuts I test tightened, it's perfect....instead of tightening the gasket (or for me, black RTV) with the flush-to-the-diff holes in the stock cover, you are now putting pressure on the raised ridges of the cover, creating a much tighter seal.
VERY nice.
I'm experimenting on Saturday with a junk housing to see if using 7/16 coarse studs will work....test-tapped a couple holes and I believe that's a good solution.
Other option is a metric bolt to replace the studs....I would use a 35mm bolt in the correct length (1-1/4" or so)...or even 40mm. 30mm is just a tad short, but would work. From memory, threads are 10mm x 1.25, and they are available from mscdirect.com (box of too many for ~$30)
I WILL (finally) have pics on Saturday....these will do an awesome job of protecting the lip of the front diff from damage and keep it sealing tightly, and provide a sufficiently thick area to weld on custom cover protection as well.

Just to give a little product review I bought two rings from you because I got a bad habit of paying too much attention to making fun of my buddy in front or behind me while driving. This in turn leads to the occasional "Bam!" what the hell did I just hit question. I've beat those rings on the Con, Fordyce, Barrett and other places and they've held up like they were still new. Every once in a while I give them some rattle can to keep them from free from any rust and for the most part never worry about my diffs taking any damage. Thanks again it was money well spent after all I like to get to the campsite and not have to wrench on my shit if I can help it. :cool2:
