: General Brake question and o2 sensor question

Don't flame me for this but I need to ask some help on my painters F@#d ranger that is stuck in my driveway. First is the brake question. When he sets the parking brake his truck will not roll forward but if we roll it backwards first they release. My first thought was to adjust/clean the return on the cable, but that only helped a little. I then lubed up the cable were it could and that still only helped a little. My thoughts are that they probably need a rebuild like my old 75 fj40 would need after the wheel cylinders went south. My question is I'm now in the north east and the damage could be from road salt and what parts would you replace if the drums and pads are good. I think I'm going to open a can of worms once we start working on the brakes as he doesn't want to replace everything with new like I would.

Second his o2 sensor needs to be replaced what are the odds of getting the bolts out without snaping one?

This "POS" ranger sure makes me love my Cruiser!!!

never met a painter that owned something new enough to have a 02 sensor :flipoff2: Not saying they don't make money but they love old beater trucks/vans/buses.

I would post this in the Ford section but being a cruiser guy I don't venture out much. :D . As far as painters trucks go this one is only three colors so far. No help on the braKes then just though one of might have worked on something besides you cruisers

Thanks
