Well i did some trading and ended up with a ton of parts. I have a complete 3/4 ton chevy that is beat to hell but runs good and has a 44 front and 14 bolt rear with 4.56 gears a 350/sm465 and a 205. I also got a chassis with a dana 60 front, 14 bolt rear with 3.73 gears and a 205 transmission. I'm stoked to get my springover started. I can't decide whether to use the 60 with the 3.73 gears or the 44 with the 4.56 gears. I already have a flattop knuckle machined drilled and tapped for a 44 but I hear hi steer on a 60 is a piece of cake. I'm hoping I can use the springs for the springover also so I don't have to use these 4 inch skyjacker springs. I only want to run 37's and with my tubs and trimming a springover should be enough. Any opinions? How about Dana 60 hi steer hardware. There are alot of sources but does anyone have recomendations on arms and Tie rods? I have a drop pitman arm but I want to use 1 ton TRE's if I drill it to fit will it work with the drop arm? Sorry for all the questions I spent months reading about the 44 but nothing on the 60 because i thougt I'd never find it.

4:56 gears will work much better with the 37 inch tires.

Regear the 60 and install it... I wouldn't waste my time with a 44.. I had help making my arms at work.. I used 1" plate.. Pretty simple, you just need a access to a mill.. If I was to do it over again I would just buy some..

Yeah, regear the 60. You will be much happier. Sell the axles you don't need for beer money.

Yea I'm drooling over this 60. What is the best source for gears as far as price and service? Also I was planning on using blazer springs in the front and Suburbans springs in the back, any recomendations on others?

I just bought a ring and pinion from Randy's Ring and Pinion. They were half as much as anybody here in Spokane. Yukon Gear was the brand and it showed up at the shop the next day.
