Does anyone know what U-Joint is in the rear driveshaft of a stock LJ50? I am having a hard time finding one because the books don't go that far back. Or will I just have to find one by the dimensions of the yoke?

It looks like they're scanning the LJ50 Service Manual on www.LJ10.com right now. Maybe you can email the guy that runs the site and see if he can look it up for you. But yes, Hawk is the man when it comes to this stuff.

Zukiboy,

Lucky you found an lj 81 in the states. I have one as well (on lj10.com), much more common up here in Canada but still very rare. Cool rigs, good luck with it.

He was on lj10.com as well, I figured it must have been the same one. Looks in great shape. I was told by a bunch of people to keep mine stock but no way, I want to drive it not just look at it. I have a samurai to pull the running gear out of and a fuel injected 1.3 as well, spoa, rock lobster t case, and it will sit on 32's, big enough for that truck, especially with sammy axles. Are you keeping it stock?

Sorry for the thread hijack, check out lj10.com and you will be able to find out all you need on your lj 50.
