The s.s.350.001 is a machine shop stamp. they put that on when it was rebuilt.
the 3970010 is a 350 block cast from 68-79. Applications ranged from 160 hp to 370 hp vettes.
Your particular engine code was stamped on feb 12th in the flint michigan plant.
the last 2-3 letters which in your case is WK. WK denotes a 1969, 255 hp 4 barrel truck engine. anywhere from half to 1 ton. This probably means its a 4 bolt block.
its strange though because the 6 in the number shouldnt be there. Make sure the 6 isnt a letter. if its a letter it will affect what it codes to.
heres how it brakes down. (examples)
Engine ID Code Example: V0101CLJ - (V = Plant, 01 = Month, 01 = Day, CLJ = Engine Suffix Code)
Another example: T0830CTY - (T = Tonawanda, 08 = August, 30 = 30th day, CTY = 1970 396 Camaro, 375 hp, 11.0:1, TH400)
Code Engine Plant Code Engine Plant
F Flint (Motor) S Saginaw Service
H Hydramatic T Tonawanda
K St. Catherines, Ontario V Flint (Engine)
(McKinnon Industries Canada)
M GM of Mexico
by that, your engine is 02 (feb) 12 (12th day) then 6WK either the 6 is a letter and you misread it or just the WK matters. and its what I said above about the truck engine.
**NOTE** measure your stroke again. if its a true 3.75" stroke you have a 383 stroker motor, not a 350. stock stroke on 350's are 3.48". a 400 sbc has a stroke of 3.75 and that crank in a 350 block with a .030 bore is 383.
