: serious question
whocares 09-02-2004, 07:34 PM I posted this thread earlier today, but it was closed before I could ask a question. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281217 . Now since some people think that it may be a death trap (nothing to back up this claim?) I ask what would you web wheelers have done differently? :shaking:

Neal'88yj 09-02-2004, 07:47 PM I'd start by loosing those bad ass thornbirds. Then I'd quit making dumb posts to waste peoples time. :shaking:
JohnnyJ 09-02-2004, 07:53 PM Stop trolling you clown. Go cause problems somewhere else.
whocares 09-02-2004, 07:54 PM loosing? tell me how it would help to loosen the tires. or did you mean to get rid of them?
Otto Man 09-02-2004, 07:55 PM That steering is awesome. Where can I buy this steering set up? DarwinOffroad.com?
whocares 09-02-2004, 07:56 PM not trolling....I am serious. what should I do about the steering, I dont want it to fall apart while driving.
Rugger99 09-02-2004, 08:01 PM If you cannot tell what is wrong with that frontend by just looking at it....then you are in the wrong place. What would we " web wheelers" have done differently? Well, it wouldn't have been ghetto-fabbed :shaking:
B_j33pz 09-02-2004, 08:06 PM I ask what would you web wheelers have done differently? :shaking:
How bout taking it somewhere that knows how to setup SAFE and DECENT steering. Dont get me wrong...I have some booty fab shit on my jeep...but there is a BIG FAWKING difference between "booty fab" that you feel safe driving in or following, but that piece of shit steering, I dont know how to classify that. The draglink looks like a stock tierod that was cut in half. try something that will standup to some abuse and stress, but then again since i'm only a web wheeler I guess I dont know shit.... :flipoff:
JeremyH 09-02-2004, 08:06 PM Does that thing only have two leafs per pack?
JohnnyJ 09-02-2004, 08:07 PM Seriously. Go away.
IndyCJ 09-02-2004, 08:18 PM Don't bother replying to this asshat. Let it go, he'll either get bored and leave or get banned. (I'd prefer the latter).
Post is reported, that is all.
whocares 09-02-2004, 08:20 PM yeah thats only two leafs per pack......smoother ride
P&T Jeeps 09-02-2004, 08:36 PM you should have made more effort to buy this jeep (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=209106) instead. also, I think in your 'location' it should state "surrounded my morons!"
does that thing even turn or do you just lean to get it to move; hence the wear on the turdbirds...
whocares 09-02-2004, 08:47 PM Its not my jeep, it belongs to a friend of mine so you guys can just chill. Im trying to gain usefull info to help him out. I did my lift alot different. 3" body lift, 2" add a leaf, 3" shackle, alot better that way. I also agree that he needs new tires, so we will probably throw my 30" bfg at's on there when I get my 38" swamper's.
whocares 09-02-2004, 09:09 PM IndyCj.......did I break any pbb rules? why report the post? were you a tattle-tell in school also?
jnschwie 09-02-2004, 09:11 PM I ask what would you web wheelers have done differently?

Beat95YJ 09-02-2004, 09:32 PM This should have been posted in newbie. If you want an answer, delete it and repost. The PBB members might take you seriously then.
cj8rckcrlr 09-02-2004, 09:43 PM dude...just look at that lame ass steering setup...i would pay my worst enemy to drive that shit...you best not be proud of that....
your question was bullshit...thats why this lame ass thread got canned...
and why would you want shackles taht hang down that much...just make some...since yall did that custom steering setup, you should be able to make some shackles...but i wouldn't run them...
rethink your dipshit questions next time buddy...
:flipoff2:
cj8rckcrlr 09-02-2004, 09:47 PM oh yea, and thornbirds suck monkey cock....
whocares 09-02-2004, 09:51 PM dude....my question in this thread was not how to make these shackles or where to buy them, it was what in the hell to do to fix this steering? So far it has worked flawlessly at paragon, raush creek, the farmer's field here, and on the street as a dd.
cj8rckcrlr 09-02-2004, 10:00 PM why is your axle rotated soo far forward...it looks like your knuckles are aiming right at the ground....i'd fix that before i did any steering
whocares 09-02-2004, 10:06 PM pinion angle bro, seems to do ok.
Beat95YJ 09-02-2004, 10:13 PM dude....my question in this thread was not how to make these shackles or where to buy them, it was what in the hell to do to fix this steering? So far it has worked flawlessly at paragon, raush creek, the farmer's field here, and on the street as a dd.
Steering:
1. Dropped Pitman Arm ...revolutionary new technology.
2. Tera (or equivalent if it exists) high steer knuckle to create "cross over steering" Do a search.
I can't see any shims, but I am betting the caster angle (much more important than pinon) is really f'ed up and that thing is a darty wandering pos. Ditch the shackles.
cj8rckcrlr 09-02-2004, 10:18 PM pinion angle bro, seems to do ok.
i know ist the damn castor...ist way to positive...like was said...prolly wanders like hell...
i'd fix that and do highsteer....

DanTheMan 09-02-2004, 11:39 PM Here is what happens when you run steering like that. At least mine looked 1/2 way decent. I thought you photo-chopped that. This bent at all the gussets and broke at the one closest to the pitman arm.
Show your buddy that pic, and ask him if he wants this to happen @ 65 mph. Good thing i was only going 5.

IndyCJ 09-03-2004, 04:37 AM IndyCj.......did I break any pbb rules? why report the post? were you a tattle-tell in school also?
Yes, you asked the same fawkin question earlier, and the thread was closed. So, you ask it again and want a serious answer. Fawk off.
I reported it because you are a waste of PBB space, and if you can't see wtf is wrong with your steering, you have no business on the PBB. Think of it this way, you wouldn't apply for a position as a nuclear physicist without a PhD. in nuclear physics would you? Of course not. If you read the rules, you might understand, but I don't think so. I think that you believe that everyone should answer your question because you're being 'serious' and you want a legitimate answer. I'm telling you right now, you shouldn't be getting it. Your previous posts have been nothing but crap and you sound like a whiney bitch. Especially with your "I6 vs V6 what's the difference" and "The 87 tranny is better than the ax5"
Basically, you're a stupid fawk. Your posts sure as fawk don't contribute anything, and you are 'trolling' for fights.
Even your "were you a tattle-tell in school also?" shows me that you know that your fucking around, and you know that you shouldn't be doing what you're doing.
Everyone else. Stop replying to this fawkin thread. (Or any other thread that he's posting on.
best comedy thread of the month :D

The Joker 09-03-2004, 09:46 AM I tell you what. If this is a serious question and you really want answers and you really know the owner fawked up piece of shit. Go get more pictures with more angles of the set up. Oh and post pictures of all these trail runs it did so good at.

whocares 09-03-2004, 10:23 AM DanTheMan.......not bashing you man, but my setup may not be as "pretty" as yours but mine has obviously held up alot better than that death trap that you rigged up there.

sprtn4x4cw 09-03-2004, 10:39 AM This is the funniest thread I have EVER read on here. You deserve some kind of award...now go chew some dick.

The Joker 09-03-2004, 10:48 AM DanTheMan.......not bashing you man, but my setup may not be as "pretty" as yours but mine has obviously held up alot better than that death trap that you rigged up there.
You cant even keep track of your own lie. First its yours, then your friends, now its yours again. :shaking:  :flipoff2:
Now try pictures with the death trap shown on the trail. And more pictures of it the death trap. Dont you just hate when people cant take .01 second to out think your dumbass posts?
Bring proof or just leave.
The Joker 09-03-2004, 10:50 AM actually the front and rear is lincoln locked.
So give us the full details on your/friends/your whatever thing you have posted. Axles, motor, gears, case.
SilverZuk 09-03-2004, 10:57 AM :rainbow:
Please give us a pic of the whole rig so we know to take evasive manuvers if we see it coming near us.

http://home.comcast.net/~krayziepop/IMG_1790.jpg?SSImageQuality=Full
umm..... everything, i'd start by ripping all the steering linkage out and replacing it with either factory or aftermarket steering components that are made to the correct length and whatnot to fit that thing. then, i'd get real shackles, shorter u-bolts and new tires, of any sort as long as they have at least SOME tread.
kwrangln 09-03-2004, 11:46 AM Pretty cool that you somehow managed to fit a passenger side diff axle under a heep with the 231. Nice try troll.

whocares 09-03-2004, 11:50 AM just talked to the owner of the rig and he said that he is just going to sell it to this kid that has been bugging him about it, rather than trying to fix the mess. thanks to those who deserve it, :flipoff: to those who dont.
IndyCJ 09-03-2004, 11:59 AM just talked to the owner of the rig and he said that he is just going to sell it to this kid that has been bugging him about it, rather than trying to fix the mess. thanks to those who deserve it, :flipoff: to those who dont.
Oh thats just wonderful!
I know that this is newbie, and one shouldn't flame. But please, please don't sell that crap to some kid who doesn't know any better. He's gonna think that booty fab shit is great, try to drive it down the road and kill himself and others in the path of that turd.
Seriously, think about what you're doing.
whocares 09-03-2004, 12:11 PM The kid has seen and ridden in and checked the jeep out many times. he just wants a big jeep, and thats what he is getting. seems fair to me.
CB87YJ 09-03-2004, 12:16 PM i say let whatever fool run it that wants to.
obviously there is no desire expressed here to listen to the PBB experts.
the only good thing here is we all know the clock is tickin on that bomb and it will soon be totalled and the fool driving it at the time will be removed from the planet.
I only hope it doesnt kill any innocent bystanders.
now, if only I had those magic powers,,,,
I would make that thing just disapear into a puff of smoke.
SlowMo 09-03-2004, 12:27 PM Are you sure that's a D30 on an 89? I have a D30 underneath my 95 with the v4 engine and it doesn't look anything like that.
whocares 09-03-2004, 12:48 PM so my friend just called me to tell me that after he sells his jeep his is going to look at one tomorrow night for sale locally, and would like to know if you guys think that it is a good decision.
it's a 96xjsport for 4600 with 80000 miles. whatcha think?
CB87YJ 09-03-2004, 12:52 PM i think you and your friend should take up cowpie pottery
he seems to be a master of moulding $hit
whocares 09-03-2004, 01:15 PM sooooo.. not a good choice for the next rockrawler build????
kwrangln 09-03-2004, 01:25 PM Your obviously watching this closely, probably getting a good chuckle out of it, so why not spill the beans on where you found the pic of that heep? We could all use the entertainment.
Since this is in newbie and flaming isnt allowed, answer up on how you managed to get a passenger diffed axle to work with the drivers drop 231.
You would have been more believable if you had just called it a CJ since thats what the pic is of.
The Joker 09-03-2004, 01:31 PM sooooo.. not a good choice for the next rockrawler build????
Re read all your posts on this thread I dare you to. Skip the responses so you dont get confused :flipoff2: and see how many times you have changed your story. You should take notes for yourself so you dont lose track of your own bullshit. You cant figure out who it belongs to, you say it will go anywhere but it needs to be fixed, now going to sell instead of fixing. Why sell it look at all the trails it can do. :rasta:
Oh and I still want to see more pictures of it, I mean its your friends/yours so getting pictures shouldnt be that tough.

It also lacks the shackles, front bumper, shock boots and the CJ7 diff you showed us in the other pics, you could at least use the same body style for each of your "posts" :shaking: :shaking: :shaking: :flipoff2:
aloharover 09-03-2004, 06:53 PM Am I the only on that remembers seeing that first photo in Petersons or some other mag a while ago?
An article in what NOT to do with a vehicle. This guy is so obviously f-ing with the PBB.

Georgia Mike 09-04-2004, 07:00 PM [QUOTE=whocares]I ask what would you web wheelers have done differently? :shaking:
I'd have sent the pix DIRECTLY to the scary steering pages first. At least there it would've gotten the rave reviews that it so deserves. Seriously, man, what the HELL was the dumbass thinking that butchered that shit together? :flipoff2:
Here is what you do to fix it.........
1.) Get yourself a BFH.
2.) Beat the living shit outta the thing.
3.) Add 2 parts gasoline
4.) Add 1 part match or any other flame source.
5.) Find a loaded weapon and shoot yourself for building that piece as you watch it burn to the ground.
6.) You have successfully rid this world of your brain dead self as well as a death trap!!
This is the kind of shit that needs to stay off this site. For the most part there is tons of helpful info on here. The "jeep ignorant" new guys that come on here ruin it for the "jeep knowledgeable" folks that come on here that might not have a high post count but are looking for that one tip that could complete a project. :flipoff2: Fawkin tard!!!
