I found a set of cheap, stock 16" x 7" steel rims. I am going to get the Rockstomper Beadlocks and weld them on. Supposedly the rim will then be about 9" wide. My question is ... If I run a 37"-40" tire that is 12.5"-14.5" wide will it fit right? I tried the "search" feature but didn't find anything relevant. Has anyone run anything like this first hand?!?

Thanks everybody!! :beer::beer: Keith

I've been running a 12.50" wide tire on a 7" wheel for the last four years. I've never had a problem with them.

Once the 7" rims have the Rockstomper beadlocks on them they will be about 9" wide. How tall of a tire have you been runnning on your 7" rims? :beer: Thanks!

I've been running 33's but yesterday I got some 36's and they fit fine on the 7" wheel.
