I was in a car accident last wed. and my '87 fj 60 was injured. I rear ended a ford explorer sport so I need some front end body parts. anyone know of someone in the austin, san antonio, dallas area that is parting out a 60 I can pull some parts off of. I need the drivers side fender/ wheel well, a grill, light mounts, and the framing that the radiator mounts too. I know this should be under the want adds, but I thought I would have better luck here. oh yeah, my 60 is red, so that would be awsome if I could get a paint match, but beggers can't be choosers. :(

I have heard bad things as well but I have bought some stuff from them and not had a single problem. Just an idea

I have done business with them and never had any problems.

You should be fine getting yard parts from CCOT. Their big problem is the aftermarket stuff they sell. I have yet to see one aftermarket CCOT part that is decent, it's usually cheap crap. In my opinion and experience, of course.

I talked to CCOT this am and they don't have the panels that I need. They gave me the number of Classic Cruisers in CO and they have the radiator mount I need. The guy at Classic told me about a cruiser company in California that sells used body parts (car not human). Anyone know of such a company and if so who is it and how can I get a hold of them.

Try 4x4connection.com ask for James or Bill
And try http://landcruiserstuff.com/
I have had great luck with 4x4connection and used parts, never dealt with the other site, but it looks like they have some parts.
Hope this helps -

i bought some fj 60 fenders and a lower valance at triple aaa small car world in ft.worth tx. they were the only place that had any fj 60s in the dfw area that i found. try the bullitin board at cool cruisers. they have a lot of parts for sale there. and just post an ad for the parts you need. mike

Cory-
If you need to get it from outside Dallas, AVOID Classic Cruisers. Nothing will come cheap there. Often, they are more exensive than Specter, and the boss Merle is never around to bargin with. CCoT Might have been speaking of TAP in CA which is not quite as expensive as Classic, but expensive none the less.
If you can travel, Tim Hill in Tucson has two complete front clips for sale I would say cheap (I'll bet under $500, maybe $250). He will not ship anything larger than a t-case so you must go to his door.
I'd also check cruiserheads in El Paso etc for clean parts. Tim Jones in Odessa might help, but I do not know his prices (he bys stuff cheap...)
