what are the common problems with the tj- exhaust manifolds or gaskets? after driving for a while I hear an exhaust leak.

the exhaust manifold cracks where all the tubes weld together. If it has less than 50,000 miles go to ur dealer and let them know its the typical crack... (dont tell them ur the second owner) and they may just give u a new manifold.

I understand, their is a recall on the 4cyl TJ for the same reason and I hear a recall on the 6cyl TJ exhaust manifold is in the works as well.

Mission statement is that this is a hardcore board.. ur questions are more fitting to an amatuer board and should be posted at such a board. That is most likely why the admin is removing them.

What better place for someone to learn- you go to the people that have done it- learn from the teachers.
someone wants to delete someone elses questions- because they are not "hardcore" - looking around I see alot of crap posted- has nothing to do with "hardcore". Their posts are not deleted.

Im not sure if the "non hardcore" is why they are being deleted.... it's just a guess... It may because all the answers can be found with a search of previouse post and in the mission statement it ask members to search before asking.

Its not insult if the "non hardcore questions" is why they are being deleted... the JU (jeeps unlimited) and other boards have the teachers for simple things where here the mission statement has dictated to the members to use this board for other hardcore questions... I was a newbie here once and suffered my bashing for questions I see now as being dumb though I did not realize it at the time.... not that I wish it on others... ...

I honestly support the newbies quest (notice I have answered his questions respectfully) and hope he becomes a fellow wheeler and remains a PBB wheeler. Others dont see it as I do. Im suprised he has not been bashed to hell and back by now but then agian his stuff is getting deleted so the chance has not arrisen. Also its a slow night on here.

I think the conscinsous here is probably about 50 50... bash and/or delete vs answer respectfully. Its just the 50% who want hardcore only are more vocal; thats all. Also... since it's a slow night... moderators got more time to work on clearing post not up to par with the mission statement, again thats just a guess of what may be going on. I truely dont know if thats the case or not.
