FINIALLY, after not being out for over 6 months (DAMN... I just figured that out... its been WAY to long:eek:  )

Just a "simple" snow run, NW Binders Club run... even though there was only 3 binders, and one couldn't make it very far (bald, small tires, and REALLY slick snow when packed down), 2 big-broncos and a ford exploder....

Kurt (SII, 38" TSL Radials, and 12" or lift ) and I made it quite aways up till the snow got over 36" deep, Kurt's bumper was pushing snow (learned how to wheel in snow a little better too), and it was snowing like a made man sometimes. Got a few pics, but it will be a bit before I get them out.

Not a real test of my new set-up, but ALLOT less drag than my old set-up :D. Got a few things to still work out.. but so far I'm happy!! Even drives OK down the road.

Soon as I get a new long travel front shaft, and a couple of tweaks.... I'll get some REAL trail pics.....

I'm SO happy:bounce: :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2:

Come AAWWNNN, Mark!

I went wheelin' this weekend, too.. and despite rebuilding my PC twice I have some video up, and I'll have the digi-pics tonight (as soon as Michelle turns on her computer and copies 'em off and sends 'em my way)

No video of ME, unfortunately.. seems I was always behind the camera. ;)

I'm still experimenting with new video formats and encoders n' such, but..

Anyhow.. how's the lean at speed with the soft springs up front?

hmm, didn't work for me, but I don't know if it was on my end or yours. I may not have all the software I need.. too many damn veiwer's out now... tries to open it in quick-time.. but I haven't got anything to work in quick-time yet.....

what ever happend to the default MS viewer..... ??

not bad, but then I don't hit the corners at mock-5 either...

Slow speed tight corner leans are intresting.... not un-safe... just new :D:D

Steering works good, even with my red-neck set-up cobbled up from stock IH stuff (for now :flipoff2:). Little funy, litle stiff, but the PS pump is a POS, and the new ball-joints are REALLY stiff.... was better at the end of the day.

*little* sloppy on the road, that may be in the rag joint, the box (even thought it only 2-3 years old), or?? I'll figure it out. But it drove just fine and felt safe.. even with the tires at 7 lbs

Should be viewable in MediaPlayer. I'm not too happy with the captures from last night, or using TMPGenc to encode the files for "web viewing".. I'll re-do them again tonight after I re-re-re-install 98SE.. *sigh*

I was down around 6psi.. and I was the only person that didn't get stuck all day (then again, I got to ride at the back of the line, too..)

Quite interesting driving back out over some twisty downhill descents.. I remembered how low I was and hit the brakes.. and felt the whole Scout wobble back and forth on the sidewalls. :D

But.. before I drove home.. I just hooked up the air hose and filled the tires to 26psi and off I went. :flipoff2:

Which is good since my RR tire is flat this morning - I think the valve core isn't happy with being R&Rd on every trip.

I tried to stop by Les Schwab yesterday to ask about tires and wheels, but they were closed. :( I need to get my new RAD valves installed in some wheels and the TSLs mounted..

This is a good pic of most of my body damage...

My buddy just finished resurrecting this '73 SII.. and managed to yank the neutral safety switch wire off while banzai-ing the deep snow..

This is the same section of trail where I got my Travelall stuck last year and had a flat-fender winch me out (after securing the flatty to a tree, of course!)

I forgot to put on my "gaiters".. try THIS on a Jeep's hood!

Looks like the Cherokee needs a tow.. who ya gonna call? Lynn came up from Utah to visit his brother Jim and managed to go wheelin' at the same time. The tires had about 25 miles on 'em - they still had blue "paint" on the raised white lettering!

I'd never tried 6psi before... works well. I was the only rig that didn't get stuck all day.

Felt GOOD to go out and play! The exhaust fumes weren't too bad down the highway, and once on the trail the heater worked well enough we had to turn it down a few times.

Nice weather on and off.. it was lookin' beautiful, then everyone got stuck (but me!) and then it started snowing. :D

It was a fun time, and it only cost me a tank of gas (I noted that the last time I gassed up was in OCTOBER..). NO BREAKAGE! (well, there's a valve core that's leaking now..)

Michelle took most of the pictures, tho' later in the day I managed to grab the Koda DC3200 from her..

I took the video, which is still in "processing" - I'm trying out some new video capture and editing software.. we'll see...

Naturally, that means no video of MY Scout...

Nice Body Work!, me like

Hmm.. how about a few "before" pics. :D

Come awn, who's really stuck?

You KNOW it's the Jeep!! :flipoff2:

Everyone struggled up this hill. I just stuck it in low gear, set the hand throttle to 1000rpm, and just idled on up without slipping a tire.

Got to this point and first yanked the Jeep back with a short strap, then he got stuck again. So another little tug, got him unstuck, used my 30' strap to go around the side of the Jeep and yank out the stuck Toyota T100 up the hill, then the Jeep got stuck again so I backed all the way down the hill with the strap hooked to the Jeep.

Pics from Sunday...

We did take pictures, but we have none of the Scouts, We did not start taking pictures until after we gave up trying to get up the hill with the scouts, and escorted the Explorer back down the hill. We stopped many times to take pictures and play.
http://www.superford.org/registry/?vID=338

After we got off FS62 we headed to the Index Wall/Indian Ridge area and visited the Waterfall.
It was covered in snow but it sounded nice.
We had a great day of wheeling. :D
