I need a steering box for my sami I'd like a saginaw so I can go hydro assist and I'd like the arm facing forward, all steering linkage on the front of the diff. Whats a few junkyard donor rigs that I could find one set up like this or easily converted to this arm setup?:beer:

Hey Chris........ the Scout power box is exactly what you want.
It's what I run ..............
it mounts to the outside of the frame though.
If you want one that is inside the frame (like a regular saginaw 76 style......... then the Chev Astro van box is front facing .

I don't remember the details, but I looked at a box off a mid 80's G20 Chevy conversion van (LD 5 lug 3/4 ton) that looked like it would work on my buddies Sami, might check it out. I think the arm went forward.

I'll have to check out a scout box I remembered today that some 65 66 impala's came with rear mounted steering as well but they mount inside the frame I'll have to check for clearance issues.If I can fit an impala one I'd buddy has one.
Ben would it be possible to retaper my stock toy arms for chevy tierod ends but coming from the top instead of the bottom?
thinking of running landcruiser style draglink/tierod.
