Ok, the decision has been made, Im painting the jeep desert tan with spray paint, before TDS. The painting part isnt the issue.. its the prep that Im worried about.. Can I just roughly sand the clear coat off, then clean it with a paint cleaner/thinner? Or are there some other things to consider?

Sand everything very good then wash with a soap that does not have wax then mask after that whip every inch that is being painted with a tack cloth (you can get them at any paint supply place they are just sticky rags)

Before you start to paint spray the floor with water to prevent kicking up dust as you walk around
