I just got a call from my brother Mike who is headed to the nationals. His transmission just fried in his ScoutII(727 Torqueflite). He is traveling I40 and hopes to make it to El Reno which is near Oklahoma City. Anyone in the area with a trans please call me ASAP at 916-652-4706. Otherwise I may have to overnite him a trans from here in Ca.

Is it comepletely dead or pulls then quits? If it pulls then quits, it probably the filter clogged upped. A bad filter really restricts the tranny fluid flow to the pump. The only group I'm aware of there anywhere close is the N. Tx Binders. Good luck.

Mike is towing 6 body tubs plus a lot of other shit. Mike and I discussed the possibility of a clogged filter as he has a remote filter mounted on it. It ends up putting out a James Bond type smoke screen every now and then. Sounds to me its getting hot but he does have a good ATF cooler setup. He's still able to drive around but without the trailer. I ended up overniting a trans to him. Hopefully this will get him to the Nationals and back.
