hey guys,

I have a AGR box on the Milktruck (xj) that was using a stock pump..It worked fine for a long time.. Now shes leaking and needs a pump.. are the AGR pumps worth it?.. or is a factory one from Advanced auto parts ok for half the price..I know this may be a stupid question and the AGR box is an upgrade but $$$ is real tight! And wondering if this is why the pump started leaking?

Milkman,

We had a problem with our AGR pump (stuck valve) when we installed it new. When we talked to the tech guy, he said to buy a stock pump to hold us 'til they could send us a replacement.

The tech guy said the difference is that a stock pump flows 2 GPM and 1300 PSI and the AGR pump flows 4 GPM and 1500 PSI

Now this is on a CJ, not an XJ, so I don't know the differences, but thought it might help.

The tech guy said just to check the fluid level, make sure everything was OK from time to time with the stock pump.

BTW - you go to Premiere's ride this past weekend?

Don't waste your money. Buy a rebuild and then go to my website and do the pressure upgrade. That's will give you a AGR superpump for free and it will only take you 20 minutes to do it.
