Those Slpoders are a good suv for modding for off road
Axles: Front- Dana 35 TTB More then Likly the gears are 3.73
Rear- Ford 8.8 Bothe are pretty tought axles as long as you dont go to big of tires
Tranny: A4LD
T-Case: Borg-warner 13-50 or 13-54
You can lift those things from 2-6 inches and run 31- 33's maybe even 35's and not worry to much about breakage. You will still run into the ocaconal hub brake if its auto might want to convert to Manual hubs to fix that, or an axle saft if you go to ahrd core. All in all its a good truck to start out with and get bigger latter on. Go to
RRORC (www.rrorc.com) and The Ranger Station (http://www.therangerstation.com/) to learn more about your buds new toy.
hope that helps and clears things up.
