Somehow - we have managed to loose the keys to our K5 Blazer. It's just a spare truck - and used mostly for trail use, but we can't start it now - only had one key (well actually we had about 6 different keys - every door, ignition, etc. took something different from all the repairs over the years).
Any ideas about what to do about it?

you can either get a new lock cylinder (new key included), or just hotwire that shit... :D

It's really not that hard to change the key switch on GM trucks. I can do the one on my s10 in about 30 mins start to finish with the right tools.

in order to do that though, the ignition still has to be turned to the on position.

Thanks for the replys... I was going to hotwire it, but we still need the key in order to make the truck street friendly. I think that I will replace the lock switch - could someone that has already done that walk me through the steps? I am not sure how to go about replacing the lock without having a key. I'll also have to replace the door locks - as they are all missing, but I know how to do the doors.
Thanks.
