Anyone know of a fairly cheap way to lift a YJ about 6" or so? Enough to clear 33" tires anyway without cutting. I'll need it to flex well too. I've seen the Rubi Express axle flip kit. Requires welding...sigh...before I get into that i'd like to see if anyone here knows of any other options. Thanks for listenin

3.5" or 4.0" bolt on lift should do it.

Go for the spring lift. 3.5-4 inches should work fine. If you go with a SOA lift you need to do it right. A traction bar is necessary and high steer setup is desirable do to the geometry the lift causes. It is weld up and you can get away with just the kit and it's fairly simple to do. I personally would only do a SOA lift. And now for the requirements:

I've got a 2.5" with 1" body and of course it's not enough. Check the pic in my sig. I have 4" springs waiting to be put on and I don't think that'll be enough so I've also got TJ flares to put on too.

i run a skyjacker 4" lift and had room for 33" BFG's, but they rubbed the front slightly from no bumpstop extension. when i went to 33" swamper TSL's i had to put a 2" bodylift to keep them out of the front fenders. all this is with no track bars or sway bars and my springs are "well" broke in, hope thats gives you an idea, later.

alright, a spring under lift won't flex as well as a spring over. However, a spring under lift is a "bolt it on and forget about it" ordeal while SOA required a little more attention. you could go spring under and use revolvers to compensate. I did that before i went SOA and was very happy with it. 3.5 of 4 inches will allow for 33's.
