Anyone got a write-up or a link to one for removal/replacement of a one piece rear main seal in a 5.0? Searched, but didn't find anything.

I did mine recently. 5.0 from an '86 E150 one piece seal. You'll have to drop the transmission, unbolt flywheel to get to it. Then take a nail or small screw driver and a hammer and puncture the seal and just carefully pry it out. I then took a same diameter pvc pipe cap and tapped in the new one. Its been about a year with no leaks.
