short of making your own intake, nope.

Theres a bunch of carb 2.8 stuff, but its a totally different motor.

Everything for the 2.9 and its biger brother the 4 liter is all efi.

do you know what cfm a 2.8 runs? If I can match that cfm with 3 x 1bbl carbs, I could use the factory lower intake and fab it to make the carbs bolt on...

why do you want to carb a 2.9L? the EFI is more efficient and the control computer will tell you what is wrong with it when it acts up. I had 297,000 mi. on mine before I put in the 4.0L and it took alot of abuse.

If I can find a reliable to get at the power lying inside I would believe in EFI,
has anyone tried a chip and noticed anything?? What about those places in california where they mess with a laptop and get 1200 horses out of a naturally aspriated 350?

I am not a believer that the 2.9L should be looked at as a high performance motor. if you want to start with a better base go to the 4.0L. It is a dead bolt in, all you have to do is wire it. I did it and liked it. now I have set my sites on bigger things. by the time you spend the money on the 2.9L you could have droped in the 4.0L and be alote farther along.

your 2.9L has around 140 HP and 170tq

the 4.0L has 170HP and 220tq @2400RPM
