I have designed a bracket that will mount a York compressor to a carb'd SBC. I was wondering if the bracket would also fit on an engine that has a serpentine belt? I know I'd have to get a serpentine belt pulley for the york, but would the bolt holes on the block be in the same location on the 2 engines?
Any help appreciated
Th ebolt holes might be in the same place, but I doubt it would work. The serpantine bracket is one big bracket that covers pretty much the front of the engine. Unless you have a bracket that would mount the compressor off the top of the intake, then not sure if it would work. If you've got pics, that might help. I've got the front end pulled off my truck doing some work, I can compare if you would like. I've got a bracket for a York that would work on a regular SBC, it semi-mounts off the top, I've still playing with it through to see if I can make it all work.

onboardair.com has pictures of there serp belt setup and there bracket. PM me if you want to look at a sbc that has the factory serp belt (it doesn't have the york, yet).
