: Swapping full width ford d60's into YJ

Who has done it? Have any pics? I think I will go high steer, but correct me if I am wrong, the d60 front doesn't have conventional ball joints? I am not too familiar with d60 fronts...any info/tech would be appreciated.

I wouldn't say most had king pins I would say some had king pins and some had ball joints...either way they are going to bolt up the same just doing high steer will be different:D

O.K. Most of the ones I've seen have had the kingpins...

I'm sure that doesn't represent a statistically representative cross section of the D60 populace though because most of the ones I've seen have been installed under Jeeps after the fact...

isnt it a lot harder to put a ford dana 60 on a YJ than to put on a Chevy dana 60, I know it all depends on the T-case you run but I was just curious

No, YJ's have a driver-side output t-case, the CJ's have the passenger-output D300 you're thinking of.

Toss in a HP-D60 from a 78-79 ford or 86+ ford F250HD/F350
