I have a chevy sm465 tranny with a 205 hanging on the back of it. The chevy 205 is passengers drop, however the axles I got are from a ford and are drivers drop. I have another 205 from the ford. How can I get the ford 205 to work with the chevy tranny? By the way I also have a chevy np203 that was attached to an auto trans, so I wouldn't mind a double setup. Anyway, what would you do if you were me, I obviously want to save money wherever I can.

If you're going the doubler route, check offroaddesign.com I think they have adapters to let you mix and match

you can always modify the adapter-- using a flipped bolt pattern at the end of the adapter for a driver's drop 205... if you have a dial caliper etc. it really shouldnt be too hard, but everything's relative :flipoff2:

The early 465's had a 10 spline output. Sometime in the early '80's they switched to a 32sp. More than likely your 203 is a 27 sp (TH350). If you can get a 32sp, or if that is what you have, the input bearing for the 32sp 205 is the same size as the Ford 205. Off Road Design sells the inputs. Or, if you are going to go w/the doubler, you just need to find a 203 to match your output on the 465. I don't know if the input on the 203 is easily switched.
