Any pre 91 YJ's have an aftermarket rear rollcage- can you please post pictures??? Please post any install advise as well.
I have the old Wrangler/CJ style rear rollcage. I bought the Essentially Offroad rollcage that welds to the existing factory cage. (I ordered the TJ style rear braces on the sides that run over the wheel wells, it has the tube that runs between the new tj style cage in the rear above the tailgate, and it has 2 brace bars that run from the old cage above front passenger heads to the new bar above the tailgate.)
Want to see how you incorporated the aftermarket cage to the factory cage. Do you need to weld in any trusses or is it strong enough as is?
What would be the srongest way to mount the cage? Should I cut the EOR cage to weld to the downslope of the YJ cage or weld the EOR cage to the body?
How can you tie the rear rollcage into the frame? Do you need to tie the rear cage to the frame or can you use a large foot plate to distribute the impact across the larger surface?
Thanks-
