Hey all,

I stumbled across this today, and thought some others might be insterested. turbocad.com is letting people download its 2D CAD program for free. It's no autocad, and it's definetly no Pro-E, but for simple 2D drawings it seems to work really well, lots of features, probably comparable to autocad light. Plus it will open autocad drawings (at least 2D versions). You do have to register it, and I had trouble doing it online, but called their toll free number, and they took care of it for me.

btw this seemed fairly technically related, if not flame me enough and i'll move it to chit chat.

sorry,

as was stated the site is www.turbocad.com

Also, this site I found during my search has links to turbocad, and several other free cad and cad viewing programs. I looked at quite a few of them, and it looked like turbocad was the most complete of all the freebies.
