I'll be there but no judging this time. My old knees can't take all that climbing up and down rocks all day long. I'll volunteer for something that won't kill my joints. It sucks getting old.

Tell you what though. I have a whole new respect for people doing the judging after the last event. It's a lot of hard work so show some respect for those who volunteer their time and labor. Offer them a beer or two at the end of the day. They definately will have earned it. :eek:

i dont know if i will judge or help out... i had surgery on my right knee 1 1/2 months ago.. it still hurts some... ill see how i am around the end of feb if i will be up for jumpin across rocks and all

Yikes:eek: You had knee problems too?? I've been in physical therapy, trying to avoid surgery. You wouldn't know it by the way I look now but I used to run marathons. Ran my last one back in 1982. I'm sure all those miles on hard pavement did some damage to my knees, hips and ankles. I have floaters behind my kneecap, mostly on the right side. Squatting or climbing irritates it something fierce. Took about 2 months for the swelling to go away after the last Calrocs event. :eek: I just have to remember I'm not as young as I used to be. Also not as light. :D:D:D

aproximately 15 miles south of Victorville on highway 18, like 100 yards befor the "welcome to Lucearn Valley". sign. the actual courses will be about 1/2 mile form highway 18.

watch for a full pre event write up wiht pics in the next couple of days, it should answer a lot of the spectator questions.

Yeah i almost didnt think i was going to judge cuz they couldnt make up their mind when the surgery was.. i had it 1 month to the day after the comp. I ended up having a bone graft to replace the dime size hole on the tip of my femur :eek: :eek:

But im slowly gettin better



If i do go.. ill have a open seat if john doesnt take it.. so let me know if someone wants to ride.. ill talk to him tonight or tomorrow about it...
