i heard it was 90 grand. so if i did have the money to but a new pimped out ford for 50grand, is it worth it to double the money and get that??????????? or why not just buy a full fledged big rig for that amount. or is it a big pain to deal with the big rigs as far as insurance or lincenses and stuff. i saw on the international site, that the doesnt need commercial license, but is that worth the 90grand?

You still need a comericial liscense to drive anythign over 26k, so if you tow a big non-rv trailer with it, you will need the CDL.

Its fine but its just a medium duty, an F-550 or Topkick 5500 with conversion beds would probably also work. (and interior on the Topkick) Just depends on what you want.

This is significant in that its 4wd amongst a bunch of mid sizes that often don't offer it- the 550 is nothing compared to this or other more substantial mid duty's, especially for OTR, not slammin the ford, but it is what it is- a good higher GVW local truck with steep gears (amongst other things) to get the rating. Way overkill unless you have a 3 rig traveling national team.

Anyone else notice the bed on the pic of the red one? Must be a prototype.

Other than 4wd, this is nothing new. IH has some nice models available for pulling your million dollar horsetrailer. Others are out there too. In some of the news reports, they have some comparison to H1s. Must make for good news print.

This was posted in Chit Chat last week. I knew I remembered it from somewhere. Two posts, actually.

they say its 25,999 so you wont need a commercial license :) BUT, it does have air brakes, so doesnt that require a class b?
