I have an 82' toyota pickup with around 8" of lift.

im planning on getting new tires tomorrow. The trucks already to high and with the 37's it'll make it a little higher. Im wondering if i should go with a 3" offest rim to help widen the stance so that it doesnt tip easly.

Or... should i go with a different offset? if so what size and why?

Here's a picture to illustrate how high it is..

Damn.. thats tall! Go with a 2" backspace rim. That will set em out a good amount & give you a more stable feeling.

After browsing through most of your pics.. I have a new idea. Get rid of those blocks in the rear, & lose a couple leafs up front & bring the truck down a bit.. Your suspension sucks anyway so why not try to tweak it a bit?

interesting, i think your the first person to say it "sucks"

i'd probably talk a little shit back to you if i had PERSONALLY did the suspension myself but i didnt.... sooo im just fixing all the wrong thats been done.

If i took the blocks out i would have to take a shitload of leafs out upfront ( approx 3" worth of leafs), it may make it flex a bit more but i've decided to shit can the 3" body lift and go from there, change the shackles etc.

So tell me... what kind of suspension are you running??

Each leaf equals around 2" normally.Except the overload it does not count.I would not worry as much for the block's in the rear I would get or make some lower shackles for the rear.
