so what the differnce not clear on it, done the serch still not clear?
it's for a d44 front.
what do you guys have to say about spools for the front?
either way i see it, to run a arb or a spool you get the same locked both wheels for the exception that with an arb you can unlock it with a button. but if you are off road you want the traction anyways.
where the cheapest place to get a spool for a d44?

the difference between mini and full is mini replaces the side gears and uses the stock carrier where a full spool replaces the whole carrier and makes it arguably stronger...look back a couple pages and you will find prices on sppols in a thread:D

One is smaller and just a little more cute :flipoff2: :D
These guys already took care of it. For almost any application I would recomend running a full spool over the mini. The mini is cheaper but is just like a lock-right in that it is only as strong as the case you put it in. I would run a full spool in a 44 over the mini.

You probably would not have asked the age old mini spool full spool front locker question if you had the money to get and ARB or Detroit for your front. So, what you really want to know is "how can I lock my front end the cheapest?". The answer to that is weld it.
Part two:.. Welding or spooling your front is not a good idea. Steering is hard and it's hard on steering components. Getting out unlocking a hub, getting back in, get out unlock a hub, get in, get out unlock a hub get's old real quick. Best advice, make sure you want to keep your truck for awhile, make sure you really need a locker in the front then start finding out the pro's and con's of Detroits, Lock Rights and ARB's. Decide which one you want then take a part time Job at a 7/ll for a month and buy one.:D

I gotta agree.........you're smart. I could buy a Lockrite now, or I could wait till next month and get an ARB......hhhmmmmmmm I can wait. It's worth it in my opinion. :D:D:D

Or get a T-case with a 2lo then it relieves the stress and makes it easier to turn. or is that just with an automatic locker? I put mine in 2 lo so I can makes turns easier.
Here is the spool on ebay -

and a full one too:

I agree that a mini spool is just as strong as welding the spiders.
