That thing is CLEAN!!!!!!

Did you do all the resto. work? If not what did you pay
 for that sweet pig? Man that TLC is my wet dream!!!

Not that it matters but please don't cut it up and make a crawler out of it. Modify it as you see fit but I love it the way it is (ok maybe some nice big tires, gears, ect. but no body mods....) Thats just my opinion.

Dude,

You know why I parted out the first Pig! It was a rust bucket POS!

As for being clean...it is truly perfect! I am so fired up! I will post more detailed pictures later.

No problem there, I have a rock crawler, don't need another!

This one will get 33 x 9.50's, some suspension modes to get rid of the 90* shackles, disc brakes in the front and a Cruiser 4 speed.

That's it! Not cutting anything, this thing is truly MINT!

Lived on a Quail Ranch for 20 years then on a Cow ranch for 10 in dry, dry south Texas! Garage kept...perfectly clean!!

Get it!

One cool rig, hat's off to you! :p

Hey, just picked up the "tow rig", and Pam is game for Clayton next month. Hey, get Julie and Berkley out of the house for the weekend in the Pig and join in a fun run. :D

Its enough to bring tears to my eyes... I just can't fathom a 55 with less than 15k miles!! Its practially off the showroom!

I don't think you'd have to worry a blink about him cutting it up... Some things are just too perfect to touch!

You going to Clayton in Feb?

Wish I had made a copy of those damn pictures!!! they made it through my firewall when I travel :p ;)

Guys, It is great to have a family of people that can celebrate my good fortune with me without a bunch of BS about "would be nice to have that kind of money" and similar shit like that.

I saw a truck that needed an owner that would appreciate it.

The PO had another guy after this cruiser as well but the guy wanted to take it to his hunting lease.

The PO saw that I would take this Pig in and appreciate all of his hard work and effort.

I am the man, and I do so appreciate the effort.

Stay tuned for the more detailed pictures this weekend, I will start a new thread.

I am in Orlando this week, wishing I was home with my girls and new Pig!

As for Clayton in February, I am ging the following weekend in Kate to GET IT AWN!!

SWEET.
Damn, and I thought my $300 parts 55 with 31K on it was pretty cool.
That thing is gorgeous. Might want to register it with TLCA and whoever else- I have been seeing a bunch of cherry old cruisers like that ending up in ads-(companies like thule, woolrich, toyota motor co. and a bunch of others) maybe yours could be next!

Yep, Damn glad that little piggy found a good home who will take care of her(?). Have you named him/her yet?

Worst thing I hate seeing is a super clean rig go to some 16 year old kid who could care less about it, and prompty wraps it around a tree. :( Sadly I live in a neighborhood full of idiots, like the fellow who bought his 16 year old kid a mint condition 64.5 Mustang convertible. All original, and just too nice... yep, wrapped around a tree a few month later. Kiddo got a new mustang. Sheesh. :mad2:

Oink Oink with pride!

That would make the sweet'st tow rig with a built FJ40 behind it.
You would turn heads every where you went.
Dont know how capable it would be to tow, but a good thought:cool: ride.
Build it up to make a good recovery rig as well a tow rig, gave myself a good idea,Thanks for the insight.
Beauty comes in many forms, and you just found one of them.

yeah, you're right sundance, ive seen hundreds of FJ55s, and the only one that i saw close, was a full fibreglass body one

but yeah, as for steel, never seen anything like it!!

never liked the pigs much, the two-tone and the really ugly gait, but they are definitely growing on me!! especially with some lift, but the 40s is where itll be for me!!

Hey Now man, remember, some us in here are only 18 and are perfectly good drivers with the utmost respect for our vehicles and knowledge of how to drive them... and have paid for our rigs out of our own pockets...

:skull: Matt

Advent Horizon

*cough* And CONTINUE to pay for them out of our own pockets :D

Although my parents keep telling me they're getting me shoulder belts for my birthday :P
They just don't trust the 6-point cage, I guess...not that I've come close to rolling it (on the roads:D)

I remember at my high school (I'mnow a college student, thank god) that one guy had a nice mid-70's Ford pickup. Then, mysteriously, it started having another dent put into it almost every day...I know it was rolled on at LEAST 2 occasions...

I dunno, just my opinion, but I think it's a much better idea for the parents to spend a good deal of money on a driver's ed class than a car (hehe...now they don't even include non-abs and stick shift driving in them anymore.)

Hey Matt :flipoff2: Na, if you hang out on the list, and take it personal when someone rags on your ride, you're OK. :D Put your own sweat into the vehicle, as well as your money, you soon appreciate a MINT vintage vehicle shouldn't be wrapped around a tree.

I started working in service stations as a kid (14), and still remember making $2.25 an hour and getting my first car for a whopping $750. When you KNOW it takes 300 hours of pumping gas, changing oil, washing windshields & vacuuming out car (ya, did that then!) last thing you want is to wrap the car around a tree.

Nothing wrong with having a nice car when you're 16, better when you have your money & time into it, as you are more likely to take care off it, and NOT wrap it, and yourself, around a tree.

My brother was ragging on his son (17) last summer about "get a job, quit watching TV all day, and other stuff". Man, I hated it when I got ragged on. Hmm... so I hired my nephew to fly out to Texas and watch my kids for four weeks. So he made $2000 for sitting around, watching TV, and hanging out with his cousins. Ya, half the fun was messing with my bro!

Now, if your Daddy went out and bought you a clean little piggy with only 10,000 miles on it looking like the day it rolled off the showroom floor... and you proceeded to take it out and TRASH IT, we'd all be over you with some mighty big whoopass! :D :D :D

Hey Dragoneater,

My first vehicle was a '71 Datsun 510. We did all sorts of TSD Rally's (time speed distance) all over the place in that car. Then started entering PRO-RALLY events (racing on dirt roads, timed against the clock). It was FUN! Yes, same vehicle I drove to school and work in.

Dad figured out we would run "rally events" on weekends, but never seemed to pay much attention. One night he brought up "what is all the tubing in the car for?" Ahem. "Uh, Safety Dad" My mother thought "oh, that's good" Dad was more like "Wait a minute, let's talk about that roll cage!" Busted! :p

Damn, still miss my Dad. Fine gentlemen, taught me a lot. Good man (later from HIS brother I learned about him racing the family Model T down dirt roads).
