That if I had my chevy 3/4T axles under my scout I should/could just put a chevy 3/4T proportioning valve in since I think that's what my brakes need anyway.
Anyone have any info on this.
I know I've brought it up before, just bear with me, I have the memory of an 80 year old man with alzeheimers:(

No dont use the Chevy prop valve, because the weight of the two trucks are different. I just ran my front brakeline directly into the master cylinder and ran an adjustable prop valve for the rear. They are around $40 from Summit or Jegs. Havent had any problems with the brakes yet.

you also should have no problems just using the stock Scout one.
I have GM brakes on the front of mine (have for 5 years or so), no problem.
The calipers/drums should be close enought to the stock stuff you shouldn't have a problem, if you do, then try as Brandon said and run the adjustable....

Back when GUS was still in business I bought a Scout II p-valve and Rod told me they were actually a chevy part. I had a buddy at the Chevy Dealer and he confirmed it was from a mid-70s pickup.
Dont remember which one.;)

I would except mine is bad I think. The little "valve" (or whatever it is) at the front of the prop valve is popped out and I was told that is a sign that it's no good, I tried to tap it back in but to no avail.
I called light line and they want $100.00 for a "new" one. I DON'T THINK SO! I'd rather scrounge one up in a Pick-n-Pull
I haven't looked at any other possibilities I was just going to start working down the line. I'm not too hot with brakes.
