I crawled under the Jeep ........It's still not yet done and is in 'winter storage....or my version of it anyway.

The Adapter was made by Me......... (or OTTindustries if you prefer...I am a partner..)

Bad pic showing the length of the Adapter........4.375 inches between trannys

http://www.sierrarockcrawlers.com/data/srcforumuploads/OTT_4_adapter.JPG

the whole thing from Bellhousing to output flange on the Dana20 is around 37" long..........YES the wheelbase and body are streched on the Willys.......the Body has a 7" stretch
I have a GM 4.3 V6 bolted to the other side of the Lakewood scattershield.
the fan is right up tight (1') from the Mustang rad on the Willys grille (cut down ...)

I will be running a Carrier bearing in the front driveshaft ( to keep the belly as flat as possible..
there is still enough room for a 18 " rear driveshaft (going from the D20 to the GM 14 bolt.....)

So could we get a few better pics of the crossmember? I take it you sale this adapter? How much $$$ Do you replace the input shaft in the aft transmission? More details:D

The crossmember is really nothing special........it's just bent tubing mounted to the frame with bushings at the four corners...

I decided to mount the crossmember with bushings and then mount the trannys solidly to the crossmember...... I don't really want the engine mounts to have to deal with 365:1 + gearing
I havn't driven the Jeep on the street yet so I don't know how bad the vibrations will be....... I may just have to Yodel louder as i drive........)

As far as the adapter It was kind of a one-off deal......we (OTT) had not really decided to produce these things......it's (more than )kind-of involved adapter to produce and install

Thanks for showing Interest though and I will try to go out and get some pic's of the crossmember. (it too is not finished.... the center area will be filled in with a removeable 1/4" skidplate.)

:D :D

Chris, that setup is a work of art. I thought the Toy tranny to T-90 setup was cool. Those two trannys are about as strong as you can get. I've got an idea for a dual tranny setup for my flatty. If you don't mind, I'll send you en email explaining what I'd like to do. (it's a bit involved to explain here).
