Push the power switch to "On" and you have manual control over the idle speed by pressing the Up/Down switch. Pressing the switch up increases your RPM; pressing the switch down decreases it. Having the ability to decrease the idle speed below the factory level will dramatically decrease speeds on downhill descends. The light on the box indicates that you are in bypass mode and have manual control. To return to computer control, simply turn off the power switch to the control box. Applications: Rock Crawling Cruise control for off road driving, you have speed control at your fingertips. Setting the RPM level to the desired setting allows you to keep your foot off the accelerator to eliminate gas pedal bouncing. Setting the RPM below the factory set level will dramatically decrease speeds when traveling downhill, and also eliminate high idle problems associated with automatic transmissions. Winching Setting the idle speed to 1500 RPM allows you to concentrate on winching and use your right foot to apply the brake, if needed, while your alternator supplies sufficient current. Running air compressors Adjust the idle speed to approximately 1250 RPM and your mechanical or electric air compressor will supply sufficient air pressure and flow to air up tires or blow dust from your vehicle. Welders Adjust the idle speed to the desired level and your alternator will supply sufficient current for the welding unit.
