I saw that too, but I believe it only works with married NP205s, not the divorced ones

Just talked to Dustin at A/A. He said it was just under 5 inches in length, and only for in front of the Land Cruiser T-cases.

The article I saw this in said they will be produceing these for the 465 and 420 also.Just haven't started yet.The pic I saw looks like it would bolt to a 205.Has the 8 shaped bolt pattern. If they do produce this it will be awesome.Should be easier to bolt in then the current Doubler. The Doubler has too many have to find parts.I just want something I can buy and bolt in and go.Yes you still have to modify the exhaust and driveshafts but you don't need to run around trying to fid the parts to bolt it in.Plus this will give a better varity gearing options.Blazin:rasta:

Why do you want a divorced 205?

There will not be any driveshaft mods necessaryy. It is going to be the same length as the standard adapter you have now. Problem is I already have a doubler and the 465 to 203 adapter is shorter that the 465 to 205 adapter so I will have to wait and see what they come up with

I don't know what Desertdueler is talking about.I never mentioned anything about wanting a divoriced 205.Anyway if this is the case and it doesn't lengthen the drivetrain, thats even better!!No extra work!!Butch since you already have the doubler you would be better off fetting one of Wagoner Machine's low gear 203 range box.Blazin:rasta:

from what i understand this is only going to be available for the stick shift trannies,,us guy's with slush boxes will have to stick with the doubler's. doesn't seem like they're going to be able to make one of them small enough to fit with our trannies and transfers since the adapters are so thin.
so all you guy's with sm465's ~~~~>:flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Maybe so I am just planning on weighing all the options.

Give AA a call if you are interested in it for a 465 to 205. They are worried about its strength in a fullsize and have no plans to do it as of right now. Least after getting off the phone with them.

Call em and let em know you are interested, maybe that will give them some incentive to build what we want. By they way they are shooting for under a grand on pricing.

I was looking at the Klune-v for my set up/ it has a 2.72-1 that has a 1350 ft/lb input rating and will bolt up to just about anything with a 6 bolt round pattern. An adapter is required to mount the 8 bolt mounting pattern. They also have a 4-1 with an input rating of 550 ft/lb torque. The length is 6.5 - 7.5 inches without the adapter. Klune-v price $1800, AA price $1725, Tri county gear price is $1600+.
Just another option to confuse us all.

1350 ft*lb isn't all that much. The reducer goes behind the tranny so you have to figure in the trans reduction to the torque. If I put in a 465 I would prob. be over that 1350 with my stock SB let alone after I am done with it (at 400 lb*ft X 6.55 = 2620 lb*ft).
I don't think anything will come close to the strength of a 203 range box (in front of a 205).

Correct me if I am wrong here, but I believe that Mr. Scout box is based on a Dana 20 and is designed to be used with either IH sp, or torqueflites and Dana 20 or 300 transfer cases

That doesn't help us Chevy guys.:( This is the Chevy board Scout parts don't do us any good.:flipoff2: Now if Mr.Scout wants to make a 4:00 to 1 for us Chevy guys that would be great!! I am sure he could sell some no problem!Blazin:D

How many people would be interested in a 241 Low range in front of a 205 and behind a 465 and what price would you pay for that? I have been thinking about build some and a new mainshaft for the 465. It would look like the 10 spline 465 length but with 32 splines. What do you guys think. Just a side note the 241T/C is behind the Dodge Cummins and some of those guys are putting out some serious torque out and not breaking them, or at least I have not heard of them breaking.

What is the low range in the 241?Would this need driveline mods?Or would it be a bolt in thing.I would be interested either way.Even more if it was bolt in.Is there any lower gears available for this? The AA box would be awesome if they decide to build them.Anyone interested in the AA box call them and tell them you are interested!Us chevy guys need some more options.Blazin:rasta:

The low range in the 241 is 2.72 to 1.

I would be interested but if you are gonna go to the trouble to make a new shaft for the 465 with 32 splines instead of 10 why not make it so you can bolt the 32 spline 205 to it?I would be afraid of the 241 shitting the bed after awhile.I understand that dodge uses them behind some diesels but thats got to still be less torque than what it will see behind another transfer case.Just an idea.I too am looking for alternatives to the doubler so the search goes on................................................ ............

The 241 would go between the 465 and 205. Also a planetary will take a lot more torque than you think. You are distributing the torque over 6 shafts and not just one single shaft like what is in a 205.

Can somebody tell me what is involved in the doubler, and where to get the adapters, or what ever it takes? I've got a 700/205.
Thanks
