I have a 1974 powerwagon 3/4 ton that I bought for axles for my toyota. The only problem is the front 44 is drum braked. I am looking for a 8 lug 44 or 60 passenger diff axle with disc brakes. I have the whole truck minus rear end and tcase available to trade or sell. It has a running 318 and a 435 four speed. Located in southern Oregon.

take the 8 lug spindle, rotors, calipers and backing plates from a disc brake GM(ooohh that makes me cringe just sayin it) and bolt them on your drum brake knuckle. the knuckle bolt patterns are the same.:D

Do you know if that is possiable with the newer 5 on 4.5 dodges? Or do I have to put on 81-84 breaks? what do I need? thanks.

the drum brake knuckles are the only one that will work with the gm stuff. you will have to pirate from the knuckle out for the 80-84 stuff. you may as well look for GM versions of the disc swap. stubs and axles are cheaper when the need changing(i.e. breakage) and everyone and there grandmas parts stores will have parts. if you need to stay 5 lug you could always go with a ford 1/2 ton rotor(5on5.5). go 8 lug. is this for your power wagon PW? glad you didn't sell it.
