I realatively new to t-case hunting and I found a NP 205 in decent shape (probably could use a rebuild) the has a 32 spline input that was behind a TH400 for $150 but I would have to pay shipping...good deal or keep on looking...

What year t-case is it? what type of outputs are on it? some have slip yoke front and rear, some have slip yokes in the front and some dont have slip yokes at all. Also what tranny are you useing because that makes a difference as well.

It has fixed yokes on both front and rear outputs...not sure what year...i think like 1977-1979...it is going to go behind a 700r4...so I need to put the different output shaft in the tranny.

I believe a 205 from a th350 is a more desirable transfer case for putting behind a 700r-4..I thing the th350 205 has the correct shaft..but, 150 dollars for th400 205 is a pretty damn good price..I saw one the other day priced for $750...it did have the adapter though..Hope this helps.:D

Get it and then I can swap you my 27 Spline 205 so you don't have to switch your o/put   :D :D (Just because I could use that for a doubler has nothing to do with it!)

well i was thinking the same thing as rodzilla, As in you would be better off with the th350 and i would swap you but what all is there( adapter?) and is it slip yoke on back of transfer case ? i have several th350 styles with and with out adapters so let me know if not no sweat

A 205 from a TH400 will not work for you. That is a screaming price though. The TH400/205 has a 32 spline input that requires the hole in the case to be bigger. The bearing for your 27 spline input will fall right through the hole. You should buy it and sell it for about 350.00 then go get you a 205 from behind a 75 to 80 manual pickup and swap the input to what you need.

the 32 spline case is the one to get if you want to do a doubler! or just step up to a th400

I could use a 350 to 205 adapter if you got one. Tried to send a email to your listed email address in the profile but it bounced. Not trying to step on toes here.
