I decided to keep my 700r4. It works ok but id like to add a shift kit which might help eliminate some of the sloppy shifts. I was looking at transgo kits, i guess they have been around for a while. What is the best kit out there?

Before you spend the $$$ for a shift kit, try adjusting the TV cable.
Check out www.700r4.com, lots of info there

I have always used Transgo-but the gazzilion springs take a lot of time. Look into Superior kits as well-they are simpler.

YOu can also play with taking out the 2/4 accumulator spring and stack 2 pistons in there.
Play with different governer weights.
make sure your TV cable is set correctly

probly an exhaust leak, if your sure its not that than pull the bottom of the bellhousing off and check to make sure nothing is hitting in there.

I'm running a stage 3 Trans Go kit in my TH350 and it shifts hard.. alot harder than the B&M that a friend had in his. But personally I've never used anything but Trans Go

I'm having a brain fart - I know I know what TV is, but I can't get anything but 'television' outta my mind. What does the 'TV' in TV cable stand for pertaining to the trans..... :shaking: :shaking: :shaking:

One thing to watch out for when putting a kit in a 700 is the pump pressure. Too much pressure will 'balloon' the convertor and wipe out your main thrust rank welded andbearing. Ask me how I know.

Throttle valve. The Transgo shift kits explain how to adjust it properly.
