What would be a good looking bumper/grill guard setup for being able to hit a deer going say 30 and have little if any damage? I don't know what's out there for 2004 dakota's thanks.

hmm, i would say 10" C channel, 1/4 inch thick, easily found at scrap yards, cut and weld it together to mold around your body lines. i built one for my 99 silverado, and it works on them sheetz posts!, ive put a hurting on alot of sheetz posts with my bumper, and it never even loses any paint, or even scratches! you get some really good looks running into a sheetz post about 10 mph and bending one.
Look into a Hansen (sp) Enterprises bumper. Ivve got one and it looks great and is beefy as hell.

WTF is a sheetz post?
and I'd agree that you should look at what Hanson has to offer if you're not fabbing it yourself. hansonenterprises.com IIRC. I think adeofab was the other shop making Dakota bumpers. I didn't like their offerings too much.

I agree give Wayne Hanson a call. Don't email him I don't think he checks his email that often. http://www.hansonenterprise.com/contact.htm

HAHA sorry, a sheetz post, is a concrete filled bollard in front of a sheetz convenience store, i think they are made of 1/8 inch by 4 inch box steel, and then filled with concrete, so you dont go on the sidewalk? and everyone at work has a ding in their bumper from them but i bend them!
