Ok, long story short. Bearing set #4 in the 4500. I need a 32 spline NV4500 to mate to a 241DHD in a 96 2500 CTD. Trick is I'm poor at the moment. I cant drop a lot into one right now. I guess the 4500's dont like 900 ft lbs at the rear wheels, time to detune.

Detune is the easy/cheap answer for now. The long term answer is probably an NV5600 6sp.

I want a 5600, if nothing else for the gear split. I really wonder about the effect of the harmonics of that 2-3 shift from 2600 to 1700. Once the boost comes back up past 21psi you can feel all the torque. It will make the center support on the driveshaft vibrate rather voilently if your pulling over 12K. Under that it'll start spinning if your in it at all, even with a 6 horse gooseneck loaded on it. Scarey. I've been attempting to flatten that "rollover" onto boost enrichment for 3 years with no sucess. The only thing that works is zinging to 3100 for the 2-3 shift which starts dropping into defuel and "hey. lets find the red zone on the pyro" mode. It does scare the living hell out of the ricers when empty tho!

And just what else is cost effective about 900 ft-lbs at the rear wheels???
