Well, it sounds to me like a parts rig. Most of the people up here who have a decent rig (and most who don't, too :p) know what they're worth. I looked at one where the guy advertised it was in great shape and wanted $4,000...it had broken windows, tons of leaks, no rear floor (rusted through), no interior body panels, misc parts hanging out of the dask, lots and lots of rust, no locking hubs, etc. Another one had the body patched with lisence plates and they guy wanted $3800. As far as I know, both of these rigs are still for sale.

Oh, another heads up. Mt. McKinley Fence Co. has 2, count 'em, 2 nice shape FJ-45's for sale. Later models, but they have drill rigs mounted on them to drill fence posts. Otherwise, good shape. $8,000 for the pair.

Hey Sean, buy it and drive it back, that shaved 14 bolt you built would look much better under a Cruiser :D

I live right across from Mckinley Fence co. I was wondering about those 45's, just didn't want to look like an idiot going in asking $8k  All I really want is the fenders off of them, and maybe the doors. Oh well the search continues.

Any chance you could give me a ph#?

Sounds interesting.
A couple of years ago there was a 40 for sale. In modesto CA.
Had a 327 th350 Soa r/s 3 tops, sweet sounding rig. The guy had rolled it and got scared, so he sold it for $500.00. I missed the deal by one person. The guy that bought it drove off in it. Some times those $500.00 deals are swwweeeeet deals.

Hey on those fj 45s, are you sure they are fj45s? They look like fj40s with fj45 half tops. That is cool that they are for sale. Will they separate them for 4000 ea?. I was going to stop by there and take pics and post them on the board. I thought they were pretty interesting.

Hey Green 73 I am staying at the ol mans place right on the other side of Mckinley fence, small world

I know a guy who looked at them, I'm pretty sure they're 45's. He also implyed they didn't want to have to bother with selling them separately, but you never know, if they get a few people asking about them...:)

I'll have to go look up a phone # for them, though, I'll get that here in a little while.

Green 73, Unfortunately the ol man lives in the trailer park right behind the post office. They are moving this summer though. So you have a green 73 fj40? Im surprised I havent seen it. I was working in Talkeetna all week and only in town on the weekends. I fly out tonight back to Washington.I couldnt buy one of those fj45s if I wanted to but I was trying to get the ol man to look at one for his business last night. He is an electrical contractor and we have to pay alot of money to have pole light bases dug or safety bollards, and that rig would pay for itself quick. He said no though he doesnt need any more rigs.Anyway, where you moving to? And are you shipping your rigs, going the Haines ferry route, or driving down? Good luck on whatever you do

Hey Dragoneater, thanks for the offer to get the # but I cant buy. I have to go home. So have a good one and enjoy Alaska.

I am just moving across town for now, but in October I will be driving the Cruiser out via the Haines ferry. I still have alot to do to get it ready for that. This summer I am having Mark Whatley build up a roof rack, rear bumper, and spare tire carrier. Also putting an aux tank on. If your dad could get a deal on one of those 45's that would be great tax write-off: ;) . Do you get up to Alaska often for work?

Are you a totally retarded :rainbow: or what? Who the fu%^$ are you refering to? I stated in the post I didnt have the # and if you want it get off your lazy ass and pick up a Supersaver dumbass. I posted it for a heads up like it says in the thread and I dont feel it neccessary to post a strangers # on a World wide internet board without permission. So HEADS UP IF YOU ARE INTERESTED GET THE NUMBER YOURSELF!I gave a location to find it. Its not a Jeep thing to get a screwed attitude over your own laziness. I think the thread I started went in the exact direction intended and I am glad a few fellow wheelers responded in the manner they did since next time I am up I will most likely contact them. Sorry it didnt go in the direction you wanted. So next time you Newbie puke if you want to make an ASS of yourself reply on another post than mine, since your attitude sucks. Hating the fact that pukes like you share this board isnt a JEEP thing either , its mutual throughout wheelin.:flipoff: :flipoff: Thanks for the opportunity to allow me to share my oppinion on you and your problem:crybaby2:
