Hey guys,
Has anyone taken the time or spent the money to upgrade the coil on a 4.0? Performance distributers makes a kit for $165.00 that includes a high poutput coil, large diameter wires, and a cap & rotor. Anyone tried this? Do you think it is worth the money?? Did you notice any difference? Tried searching but nothing really came up. Personally, I've tried different high performance mods and have had little if no improvement. The 4.0L stock equipment does a fantastic job for heat, beat, whatever. Don't waste money on the engine upgrades, save it for bigger tires :)

The iginition on the 4.0 is pretty dang good. The coils are already a high output design so not much is gained by upgrading it. The best thing you can do is get a cap and rotor with brass terminals, a set a MagneCor wires, plugs and call it a day.
