For those who were there and those who weren't, I finally got an air date for the show. October 23rd at 11:30 EDT/9:30 MDT.

SpikeTV filmed some of the Rovers on Golden Spike for their new show "Tough Truckin". They caught some pretty good film so the National Rally segment should be good.

Not sure if anyone cares, but this show should air tomorrow morning.

So, shall we now start callin' you hollywood?

First Slade on the cover of a magazine, next Pendy on international websites, now you're on TV.

Quite a lofty bunch we have here (sometimes).

I thought the show was really good. Plus most of the Rovers weren't stock looking, and then there was Timm Coopers monster.

Timm was driving the Beige extended Series looking creature with the roll bar and 35's.

That thing looks pretty cool, but man, that looks like a hell of a lot of work just to keep that high roofline and rear door. I like the pickup idea myself. Would be even easier to do it to a two door, as you could just put a bulkhead behind the B pillars, but oh well. I've never seen a 2 door in the US, and separating the cab from the bed in a 4 door at the B pillar won't give the driver enough room, unless he's an elf (yep, I measured).

Bobtail discos - a new trend in the US? :D

I agree on both points. I think the rangie looks better as well. Norman wanted a bobbed Disco for the Outback Challenge in Australia. His ultimate goal is to compete in that event next May with this Disco. He wanted a Disco so that he could be different than all the other competitors who used Bobbed Rangies. I personally think the Rangies look much better, but then again I am kind of partial for obvious reasons.

Good to see Discos flourishing...

I have something in mind, however, it will involve weight reduction and a btter departure angle...but this modification will come as the last step. Outback challenge and RFC are my goals in 2005, so maybe we'll meet there :D

I saw the episode....didn't know it was coming on. Fiance was blabbering wedding plans when it came on the TV.....I was like "time out".

If your wanting to compete in the '05 event you had better hop to it. Your truck will likely take at least a month to get through shipping and inspections, not too mention I think it has to be there early for the technical inspection. I think Norman is talking about shipping his truck around January for the event that is in May.

I too was caught up in wedding plan bliss...

Anyone have an idea when this episode might be on again?

I like the bobbed Disco, although the Rangie and roofless Disco are better looking -- there's something about a long hood with no tail that's a little off...

I am guessing the episode will not be airing again. Hopefully eventually we can get part of the show uploaded to the Internet. You could go to the Tough Truckin' page and e-mail them (Via the sales link) asking when/if it will air again. Also go ahead and request that they do more Rover coverage while your there.

Larry,

Should be shipped in January as well...Thing is, I'm planning 4 events in 2005, so the truck will be in the transport stages most of the time...

I still have to secure a lot of issues before venturing out, but its looking well so far...
