Need a new carb, haven't been able to track one down anywhere.
Anyone out there have one or know someone who has one that wants to get rid of it.
Thanks,
John

Is it missing ? You can still get the kit to rebuild it.

Already tried that, for some reason fuel isn't going into the carb right. I've cleaned it, rebuilt it, there's fuel in the line but not the carb, can't figure it out?

The fuel travels through a passage in the carb body to get to the float bowl, make sure its clean. Also make sure you have the rubber behind the valve in correctly.

Thanks, ya seen those and bought the rebuild kit awhile back. Those carbs are the wrong model and won't bolt up correctly, I've tried some like those before.
Thanks for trying though,
John

Cleaned it a few times, don't know if it might have to do with the fact I can't get behind the fuel filter, someone jb welded the cover on.
all the passages I can see look to be clear, but it's gotta be blocked somewhere.
Thanks,
John

You can check the needle valve, by removing the float bowl, lowering the float which should lower the needle valve opening up the gas line into the float bowl. With the float lowered try blowing some air through the gas line. If it's open air will come out into the the bowl area through the needle valve seat.
It really sounds like your float level is set so high that the needle isn't opening even with the floats in the empty bowl position.
Good luck.

sounds like a problem with the petcock. replace the rubber piece behind the lever on the bowl. gasket set from honda is about 17.00 bucks depending on location and they have it in stock.( i checked)

I thought he had gas coming from the petcock. If not that's certainly be the problem! Those older Hondas had a screen in the pet cock to act as a fuel filter.
Let us know what you find.

Doghouse, the petcock is built into the carb on that. Petcock is on one side and the filter is on the other side. jc, pry it open or whatever it takes as its probably stopped there.

Thanks for all the ideas.
Let you know Tuesday.
Thanks Again,
John
