bought it on ebay, called simply "The Landcruiser - Special Issue of 50th Anniversary" 1951-2001. Book is a hardback near 200 pages thick. Published by 4x4Magazine in Japan in 2001. The author has owned TLC's for over 25 years.

This book is awesome. It has tons and tons of info on the Cruiser. It is published in both Japanese and English. All models shown and explained. Lot's of high quality pictures of some damn rare trucks. History from birth in 1951 to 2001. History/Info in specific countries, including the USA, S.America, Africa, Middle East, Australia and more! I even reconized a few of the pictures in USA section from peoples trucks here on Pirate I have seen! Interviews with top designers in Japan who are responsable for the TLC back to the 50's. Broke down into sections for models such as 1951 BJ, 20 series, 40 series, 55 series, 60 series, 70 series and more. Many many pictures I have never seen before...rare models such as the FJ56v, FJ35v, FJ43v, FJ28v & FJ25P all shown! Even a super nice restored 1951 BJ that is pictured in detail. Just a real kick ass book!

Any body got one of these?? I can tell you where to get it if anybody is interested?

I bought mine on Ebay also. I have noticed that it sells sometimes for the "Buy it Now" price($79)or sometimes for the starting price of $64. It is just a matter of being patient.

yeayea...I should have known such hardcore Cruiserheads would have the book and more! Also figures Landpimp aka Litpimp would have a stack of these types of books.

I have a Das Gros Unimog Buch that of course is in German. I was translating it years ago the hard way, using German dictionaries. Gave up on that at about page 10! There is also a Das Gros Patrol Buch but I never bought it because it is in German and also I think is limited on early Patrols, ie pre-1980.

Any ways, the TLC book I got is sweet. Ton's of good info for me as I need to learn more about the TLC.
