Common you guys are the "bigdogs" take a guess. 40-16.5-15 gumbo mudders 50% tread on a ten chrome steel wheel.

A couple of my 38" gumbo mudders needed 20+ ounces so I wouldn't be surprised if yours needed 25+ :D

Well my 44 ground hawgs(fuckin pieces of shit) needed 48-64 ounces of lead on each tire to keep them balanced. THey stayed that way for 2 days. My guess is 40oz!

Many people put golf balls in their tires to balance them. Huge tires are a bitch to balance and often go out of balance after the vehicle remains parked for a few days... The golfballs go where needed as the tire spins to dynamically balance the tire. BBs and steel shot work too, but they can rust and clump after a while.

Jake

How about antifreeze, downside is not environmental friendly, or the stough that you use to winterize a motorhome/travel trailer. I kinda like the golf ball idea, though do they effect your stopping ability and can you hear them at slow speeds tumbling around inside.

whats with all this shit talk of what to put INSIDE the tires? The only thing i have actually heard of people actually using is equal. It's shit so wouldn't everything else be? Plus the say BB's would stop when you got going fast enough. Not where the low spot was. I don't even want to get into the look I got from the tire guy who busted my tire off to try and 180* it. He had a face full of dirt from the tire, I told him about anitfreeze and he smiled and said he'd KILL whoever did that. And you thought fix-a-flat was bad :flipoff2: anyways about 25 ounces each inside and 9-15 outside. :D
BTW 40ounces?????? HOLY SHIT!!!!!:barf:
Just thought it would ba a fun topic and not a newbie POS.
Gonna try and drive em this weekend. Before at 35 serios DEATH wobble. A little toy with 460lbs of hell on the road it SHOOK. Whats weird is at 40 it mellowed out.

Update on my BB experiment, which you can read about in my beadlock article on the POR tech page.

Working GREAT ....up to 110 km / h so far. WAY better than the traditional weights, and no freezing or clumping probs so far, even in these conditions:

Uhhh - nice logic?? Shit talk??? I'll tell you what's shit....paying someone to clip 25 ozs to your tires that you'll only rip off first trip. Try to broaden your horizons a bit!

Plus the say BB's would stop when you got going fast enough. Not where the low spot was

Uhhh - who'se "they"? On what do they base this little gem? Oh, and by the way - "they" are wrong.

Worried about what the guy who mounts your tires thinks?? Mmmmmkay.

The Least any of My 44" boggers needed was 18 oz..One, which I sent back to the factory needed 60 oz...
The Les Schwab I bought them from bs'ed me..After I got access to a balancer, I found the patch weights inside the tire, that they never told me about.. Ended up sending 2 of them back for new ones...
Ive had 2 sets of boggers now, both 44's, the first set was AWESOME, this set has been a Pain in the butt... Ok Now, but took a lot of effort..:flipoff2:
